Digital nomads traveling North America

Where we stayed: Grande Vista RV Park

How long we stayed: 1 week

Willcox is certainly a sleepy town. In my opinion, one of the best things we did was at the suggestion of Paige's dad. There was a little pie stand, called Apple Annie's Country Store, that had the best apple pie I've possible ever had.

Despite the fact we stayed in Willcox for a week, we only had one full day available to us for exploring. But we made the most of it!

Queen Copper Mine

We had a stroke of good fortune in Bisbee, and were able to get onto a sold-out mine train tour! This was actually a very cool experience. The tour guides were all former miners, who had some interesting stories to tell. Some of them were old enough to be working before OSHA existed!

Queen Copper Mine is located in Bisbee, AZ, which is a quirky little town in and of itself. We went to Bisbee Breakfast Club, and there was a guy playing the piano outside. Erie Street is made up to look like the 1940's (or so), which was also pretty interesting to stroll through.

Tombstone

This western-themed town is a staple tourist attraction in the area. If you are into westerns, or the Old West in general, I'd certainly recommend stopping in here. In general, though, it's quite a tourist trap.

The Thing

The mystery of the desert! What could it be?! I think I left with more questions than answers. Check it out.
